The Talisman Theatre is proud to announce the director for our upcoming 2023 Panto – Amelia Fewtrill Webster
“I am delighted to be directing the Talisman Panto 2023. The Talisman panto is such a big part of my career choice, my inspiration and our family tradition! I loved returning to the Talisman, performing in Goldilocks last season. It was so great to be back where my career began. I enjoyed playing Zarina and being part of the panto family once again.
How could I not take on this amazing opportunity to direct and create my panto vision?
I’m especially excited to work with the set designer and production team.
My first Talisman panto back in 1997 was a goal in itself; after watching the panto every year with my entire village! But my first Talisman performance was in fact ‘The Crucibal’ directed my Beryl Milner. After training at Stratford I went on to drama school and continue to work in the arts to this day , as an actor, musician and the creator of an award winning puppet theatre company. I also teach acting and singing both privately and for local primary schools and Stage Coach Theatre School.
After I trained and returned to the area I had the delight of being in the Talisman production of Brassed Off playing Gloria, Directed by Ann Brooks. I can’t believe that is nearly 20 years ago! So here I am to take my turn in the directors seat; and what amazing directors I’ve experienced before in this precious theatre space.
The panto is a vital part of many theatre goers tradition and festivities and I am excited to bring the enchanting world of ‘Beauty and Beast’ to life.
A little bit about me: I sing in local band and my rhythm guitar and flute, I love painting, pottery and swimming. I am the proud wife to James and Mum to three wonderful sons.”

1:00 dance and vocal workshop full cast
2:30 chorus audition
3:30 onwards principal auditions
